The Baku Declaration adopted at the NGO Forum held within the framework of WUF13 has been signed by 441 civil society representatives from 82 countries, Anar Guliyev, national coordinator of WUF13 and chairman of the State Committee for Urban Planning and Architecture of Azerbaijan, said at the official closing press conference of WUF13, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, nearly 800 representatives from more than 100 countries participated in the NGO Forum, which was organized for the first time in the history of the World Urban Forum.
Anar Guliyev stated that the Baku Declaration on Open Resilience and Global Cooperation, prepared at the initiative of Azerbaijani NGOs, once again emphasized the importance of international solidarity, partnership, and joint action in addressing urban challenges.
The committee chairman noted that 59 events were held at the NGO Pavilion operating within the framework of the forum, with nearly 3,000 local and foreign participants taking part in these events.
