Executive director: Women leaders should be supported worldwide

“We must build a system in the world that ensures the participation of international partners and other stakeholders,” Christine Kandine, Executive Director of the Indigenous Women Empowerment Network, said during the session titled “The Rights of Indigenous Peoples: Adequate Housing for All Indigenous Peoples in Their Diversity” held within the framework of WUF13, APA reports.

She stated that women and women leaders should be supported within this system.

Christine Kandine stressed that various initiatives are currently being implemented in this direction, with particular focus on the most urgent needs and key issues.

“We must cooperate with the government and involve local institutions and local initiatives in this process. The participation of informal civil society organizations operating at the grassroots level is also important. As an organization, we work with local communities, including women, persons with disabilities, and various social groups. Our goal is to strengthen local leadership within society and make our activities more inclusive,” she added.
