An Indigenous Caucus has been established for the first time within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku, Florencia Soto Nino-Martinez, co-chair of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Working Group on Indigenous Peoples and Local Communities, said during a roundtable titled “Adequate Housing for Indigenous Peoples,” APA-Economics reports.
“This is the first time in the history of the World Urban Forum that an Indigenous Caucus has been established. We may be few in number here, but we are like seeds — we will grow and flourish,” she noted.
