In January-April of this year, 28.5 thousand square meters of carpets and carpet products were produced in Azerbaijan, APA-Economics reports, citing the State Statistical Committee.
This figure is 28.5 times higher compared to the same period last year.
As of May 1, the stock of finished products in the warehouses of industrial enterprises amounted to 5 thousand square meters.
Note that during the reporting period, carpets and other textile floor coverings worth 66.59 thousand US dollars were exported from Azerbaijan to foreign markets. Meanwhile, the value of carpets and other textile floor coverings imported into the country amounted to 6 million 425.88 thousand US dollars.
It should also be mentioned that according to statistics for January-March of this year, carpets were mainly imported into Azerbaijan from Türkiye, Iran, and China.
