“WUF13 hosted by Azerbaijan is a platform for discussions on the urbanization of people suffering from colonialism, injustices, inequalities, and housing shortages, particularly on how affordable and decent housing can be ensured in Global South countries,” Muthoni Brian Nqiqi, editor at the Africa Climate Affairs Bureau, said in a statement to journalists within the framework of the event titled “Injustices and Housing Crisis Caused by Colonial Governance” organized by the Baku Initiative Group (BIG), APA reports.
He stated that the housing problem is a global issue: “Therefore, I think that countries of the Global North will also benefit from the sessions and discussions held here. We will see that the discussions we are conducting will shape our future, and in general, I believe this will have a very positive impact and successful outcomes.”
