UN-Habitat: More than 500 successful housing practices presented within WUF13 framework

More than 500 successful practices in the field of housing are being presented within the framework of WUF13, Anaclaudia Rossbach, Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat), said at the dialogue session titled “Global Housing Crisis – What’s the Plan?” held within the framework of WUF13, APA-Economics reports.

According to her, in order to solve the housing crisis, it is important to bring together practices on land management, financing, upgrading informal settlements, social housing and climate-resilient housing models.

Anaclaudia Rossbach stated that more than 500 successful practices collected over the past year from different countries around the world are being presented on the “Practices Hub” platform operating within the framework of WUF13.

The head of UN-Habitat noted that this initiative forms the basis of the international platform created on housing policy and creates opportunities for governments, experts and other partners to share their experiences.

According to her, the results of this process will contribute to determining the roadmap for the next 10 years of the implementation of the New Urban Agenda in July.
