The tuition fees of children of deminers who were killed during demining activities will be paid from the state budget, APA reports.
This is reflected in a proposed amendment to the Law on Education discussed at a meeting of the Science and Education Committee of the Milli Majlis.
According to the amendment, the tuition fees of children of deminers who died while carrying out demining activities will be covered by state budget funds for the duration of their paid education (excluding additional education) at educational institutions of the Republic of Azerbaijan, regardless of the form of ownership.
According to the transitional provisions of this draft law, the amendments scheduled to enter into force on September 15, 2026, will also apply to the children of deminers who were killed while carrying out demining activities or who died from injuries sustained during such activities before the law enters into force (up to a maximum age of 23).
