A person injured in a landmine incident in the Sugovushan village area of Aghdara district has been evacuated from Tartar District Central Hospital to Barda District Central Hospital at around 15:20 on April 1, Barda District Central Hospital said in a response to APA’s inquiry.
According to the information, the patient, born in 1982, has been diagnosed with traumatic amputation of the right ankle joint and is currently undergoing surgery.
The patient’s condition is assessed as serious.

A landmine incident occurred on April 1 near the Sugovushan settlement of Aghdara district, the press services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Azerbaijan National Agency for Mine Action (ANAMA), and the Prosecutor General’s Office told APA.
According to the information, Mahir Abdulla oghlu Maharramov, born in 1982 and a resident of Hajigervend village in Aghdara district, was injured in his right leg as a result of an anti-personnel mine explosion in an area that has not yet been cleared of mines along the former line of contact.
An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Tartar District Prosecutor’s Office.
“ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General’s Office once again urge citizens to comply with safety rules, pay close attention to mine warning signs, avoid entering unfamiliar areas, and refrain from interfering with fenced-off zones,” the statement said.

A mine incident has occurred in Aghdara, APA’s local bureau reports.
The incident was recorded in the Sugovushan settlement of the district. As a result of the incident, district resident Mahir Abdulla oglu Maharramov was injured.
The injured person was taken to the Tartar District Central Hospital.
An investigation is underway.
