Kremlin says no response yet to proposal on directing part of Putin’s frozen US assets to “Peace Council”

The Kremlin has not yet received a response to a proposal to direct part of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s assets frozen in the United States to a “Peace Council,” APA’s Moscow bureau reports.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the issue of Russia’s possible participation in the “Peace Council” is still being studied by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with allies and partners.

Peskov also noted that work is continuing on the implementation of agreements reached between the Russian Federation and the United States in Anchorage.

He emphasized that the “spirit of Anchorage” represents a set of mutual understandings that could lead to progress in Russia–US relations, including a settlement between Moscow and Kyiv.
