151 Azerbaijani citizens are being held in Georgian prisons, APA’s local bureau reports, citing the December report of Georgia’s National Statistics Office.
Compared to November 2025, the figure increased by 10.
Of the Azerbaijani citizens, 45 are defendants (43 men, 2 women), while 106 (91 men, 15 women) are convicted.
The number of Azerbaijani citizens under probation supervision in Georgia stands at 70, up by 5 month-on-month. Of them, 60 are men, 9 are women, and 1 is a teenage boy.
Overall, 1,555 foreign citizens and stateless persons are serving prison sentences in the neighboring country, while 649 foreigners are under probation supervision.
