A gunman was killed and two police officers were injured in a shooting at an Edible Arrangements store near Charlotte in the U.S. state of North Carolina on Friday morning, according to local authorities, APA reports, citing Xinhua.
Mint Hill Police Department said the suspect pulled out a gun and fired at police during a child custody exchange.
The man was shot and died in an exchange of gunfire, and the two officers are in critical condition, police said on social media.
The incident occurred after Mint Hill officers were called to the child custody exchange at around 10:47 a.m. local time, authorities said.
