Azerbaijan and NATO discuss cooperation agenda and regional security issues

On November 6, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, received a NATO delegation visiting Azerbaijan, the MFA told APA.

The delegation includes the permanent representatives of Türkiye, Greece, Hungary, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Portugal, and Spain to NATO, as well as the deputy permanent representatives of the United States and France to NATO.

The meeting discussed the main aspects of the Azerbaijan-NATO cooperation agenda, as well as regional and international security issues, the current status and prospects of the Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process.

Speaking about the history of the occupation, the current security situation in the region during the post-conflict period, Minister Jeyhun Bayramov informed the ambassadors about the agreements reached within the framework of the Washington summit and peace prospects, and plans for transport corridors in the region. In addition, the mine threat in the region was brought to attention.

During the meeting, views were also exchanged on other issues of mutual interest.
