Measures to ensure reliable protection of the state border of Azerbaijan and combat the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors are being successfully continued, the Press Center of the State Border Service told APA.
It was reported that on August 17, a violation of the state border from the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Azerbaijan was prevented in the service area of the "Lankaran" border detachment of the State Border Service.
As a result of the conducted border search and operational measures, a total weight of 13 kilograms 100 grams of marijuana was detected and seized from the service area.
Operational-investigative measures on the fact are ongoing.
