Armenian PM: We have resolutely rejected attempts at revenge, both today and in the future

"In Washington, we recorded mutual commitments - these are based on the principle of respect for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and jurisdiction of states. Special attention was paid to ensuring unhindered transport links between the Republic of Azerbaijan and Nakhchivan through the territory of Armenia. This also means internationally recognized communication guarantees for our country and new prospects for cooperation," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan voiced these thoughts in his address to the people, noting that the opening of communications will lay a solid foundation for future peace, APA reports.

"The statement noted that the Republic of Armenia is ready to work with the United States and agreed third parties for peace and prosperity within the framework of an international transport program. We emphasized our determination to take all necessary steps to achieve this goal as soon as possible.

Together with the President of Azerbaijan, we recognized the need to once and for all close the page of the past conflict and pave the way for a bright future in accordance with the UN Charter and the 1991 Almaty Declaration. We declared that the use of force to change international borders is inadmissible, that this principle is irrevocable and unconditional. This is a historic opportunity for our peoples to put hostility in the past and establish good-neighborly relations.

We firmly reject attempts at revenge - both today and in the future.
