Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that his position on the Donbas region has not changed, APA reports.
Speaking at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the Ukrainian leader said that any issue concerning Ukraine’s territorial integrity cannot be discussed without taking into account the interests of the Ukrainian people and the country’s constitution.
During his online meeting with the U.S. president, Zelensky said that Putin’s claim of being unaffected by sanctions is a bluff.
The Ukrainian leader stressed that Russia should have no right to veto Ukraine’s steps toward NATO membership.
Zelensky stated that if Putin refuses to agree to a ceasefire at the upcoming meeting in Alaska, sanctions against Russia should be increased.
He added that any matter related to Ukraine must be discussed with Ukraine.
