ANAMA calls on citizens regarding fires in liberated territories

ANAMA has appealed to citizens regarding fires occurring in the liberated territories, ANAMA's Press Service told APA.

It was noted that the intensification of recreational and visiting trips of citizens to the liberated areas and the increase in the number of residents participating in the return process are observed:

"For this reason, the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) calls on citizens to strictly observe the rules of behavior with fire while in the liberated areas! Be careful when using open flames! Avoid throwing cigarette butts on the ground!

During a large-scale fire incident that may occur, mines and other explosive munitions left in those areas may be activated by the effect of heat and cause serious harm to any person or persons nearby.

At the same time, it should be noted that according to the International Mine Action Standards, there is a procedure such as burning activities in areas where it is impossible to clear artificial obstacles and fortifications, as well as natural vegetation cover with any resources. However, such activities are not carried out by ANAMA.

When encountering fire or mine danger situations in the liberated areas, immediately call 805, It is recommended that you call 102 or 112."
