Azerbaijan's TABIB reveals condition of man injured in Aghdara landmine explosion -UPDATED-1

At around 08:30 this morning, a man born in 1979 was hospitalized at the Tartar District Central Hospital, the Azerbaijani Management Union of Medical Territorial Units (TABIB) said in response to APA’s inquiry.

The patient received initial medical care and was then evacuated to the Barda District Central Hospital for more specialized treatment.

He was diagnosed with a traumatic amputation at the level of the left lower limb’s ankle joint. Surgical intervention is planned. The patient remains in serious condition and is currently receiving treatment in the relevant department.

A mine explosion occurred on July 10, 2025, in the territory of Hasangaya village, Aghdara district, the Press Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor General's Office, and the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) told APA.

It was stated that Gulu Tufan Guliyev, born in 1979, was injured in his left leg as a result of an anti-personnel mine explosion while herding livestock in the uncleared area of Hasangaya village.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Tartar District Prosecutor's Office.

A resident of the Shikharkh settlement, Gulu Tufan Guliyev, was injured as a result of a mine explosion.

It has been reported that law enforcement officers have been dispatched to the scene.
