“A digital cadastral platform integrating property information of Icherisheher is being created," Chairman of the Board of the Icherisheher State Historical-Architectural Reserve Administration, Rufat Mahmud, said during the session titled “Digital Transformation in Historic Cities – Smart Heritage, Data-Driven Management and Inclusive Urban Future” held within the framework of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), APA reports.
According to him, all property information related to Icherisheher will be collected in a unified system on the platform. A very large and unique digital platform is being created, and all data is being размещed there.
Rufat Mahmud also added that the project is being implemented jointly with the Baku City Executive Authority and the State Service on Property Issues under the Ministry of Economy.
In addition, a census of residents currently living in Icherisheher is being carried out.
“Today, we can only approximately state the number of residents living in Icherisheher. Currently, a population registration process is being conducted, and within a few months we will have a complete database about Icherisheher. The collected data covers gender distribution, age categories, families’ sources of income, and social conditions. The formation of this data is of particular importance in terms of planning future management and services,” Rufat Mahmud noted.
He stressed that teams consisting of reserve employees and volunteers are currently going door-to-door collecting information about residents.
