A meeting was held between First Deputy Minister of Economy Elnur Aliyev and UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina Mohammed within the framework of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), APA-Economics reports, citing the Ministry of Economy.
During the meeting the current state of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UN, as well as prospects for future development, were discussed. The parties emphasized the achievements of the country in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and the importance of the reforms carried out in this field.
Within the framework of the discussions, views were exchanged on initiatives implemented in the areas of economic development, green energy, sustainable urban planning and regional cooperation. Azerbaijan’s projects contributing to the strengthening of regional economic ties, expansion of transport and logistics opportunities and the sustainable development agenda were highlighted.
