Azerbaijan is working on “green building” standards, First Deputy Finance Minister of Azerbaijan, Anar Karimov, said during the session titled “A New Deal for Housing Finance” held within the framework of WUF13, APA-Economics reports.
He stated that Azerbaijan is currently carrying out extensive work on “green bonds,” “green taxonomy” frameworks, integration of renewable energy, digital cadastral systems, and “green building” standards.
Anar Karimov noted that the housing sector serves not only as a tool for social protection, but also as an important economic driver for employment, production, infrastructure, and urban development.
According to him, Azerbaijan’s housing finance model seeks to combine social inclusivity with financial sustainability, and digitalization plays an important role in this direction.
