Kyrgyz minister: We are rebuilding relations with Azerbaijan in construction sector - EXCLUSIVE

WUF13 is a major platform where representatives of the urban planning sector from all over the world come together and exchange experience, Minister of Construction and Architecture of Kyrgyzstan Nurdan Oruntaev said in a statement to APA-Economics.

He noted that at the same time, the forum is aimed at demonstrating how the construction and urbanisation sector is developing in the territories of countries and republics:

“We also presented a number of our projects that are currently being implemented and under construction here. Almost all of them will be completed and commissioned within the next year. In addition, we also presented our own project here. This is a waste processing plant project being built in Bishkek that has no analogue in the post-Soviet space.”

He also spoke about cooperation with Azerbaijan:

“At present, we do not have any projects in the territory of Azerbaijan. We are only now restoring bilateral relations. Since the collapse of the Soviet Union until today, there has been no such cooperation between Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan in the field of construction. We are currently trying to rebuild these relations, and I think that in the coming years this will yield results. Upon the instruction of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, a school was built in Karabakh last year. So to speak, this was our gift to the Azerbaijani people. This is the first project, but in the future, we will further develop cooperation. In other words, our work will continue.”
