Well-known Turkish rock musician and philanthropist Haluk Levent said that through the AHBAP platform he leads, they have supported solving the housing problems of thousands of families affected by the earthquake in Türkiye, APA-Economics reports.
Haluk Levent told journalists at the World Urban Forum (WUF13) held in Baku that the issue of housing is directly connected to human dignity.
“A home is not just four walls. A home is safety, belonging and hope. People becoming homeowners again means reconnecting them with life,” he noted.
According to Haluk Levent, the AHBAP platform carried out large-scale aid campaigns, especially after the devastating earthquakes that struck Türkiye in 2023, contributing to the provision of temporary and permanent housing for affected families.
He stressed that the housing problem is not only a matter of physical infrastructure, but also an issue of social justice and equal opportunities.
Note noted that Haluk Levent is not only one of Türkiye’s most famous rock performers, but also the founder of the AHBAP platform, which is known for its extensive charitable activities. The platform provides support to people affected by earthquakes and other emergencies.
