Media: French-owned container ship exits Hormuz in first transit since start of war

A French-owned container ship has passed through the Strait of Hormuz, Bloomberg reports.

According to the report, the container vessel “CMA CGM Kribi,” owned by a French national, departed from the coast of Dubai yesterday and headed toward Iran.

The ship passed between Qeshm and Larak islands along Iran’s coastline.

Today, the vessel reported being off the coast of Oman.

Sources familiar with the matter confirmed that the ship has transited the Strait of Hormuz.

Note that Iran has stated the Strait of Hormuz remains open to the world and would only be closed to parties involved in attacks against the country.
