“Efforts are underway to ensure the opening of the Zangezur corridor in the near future," said Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) Kubanychbek Omuraliev at the meeting of prime ministers of the OTS member states held in Baku, APA reports.
He noted that in the current complex geopolitical environment, the Middle Corridor is the most important route, and the volume of transportation along this route is expected to increase to 10 million tons: “The Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line has already proven its high efficiency. Our heads of state regularly instruct us to launch block trains. Work in this direction is ongoing.”
