US President Donald Trump has stated that he is not yet even considering the possibility of conducting an operation to seize Iranian nuclear materials, APA reports citing CBS News.
"I'm not even thinking about it," he said in an interview with CBS News, answering a question about the possibility of removing Iran's enriched uranium.
"I just know it's so deep underground that it's going to be hard for anyone [to get these materials]," the US prime minister noted. "They haven't managed to do it. Even before the war, they haven't managed to do it. So this [uranium] is pretty well protected. But we'll make a decision," the White House official added. He was referring to fissile materials at Iranian nuclear facilities in Isfahan, Natanz, and Fordow, which the United States struck on June 22 last year. Previously, the US government hadn't ruled out the possibility that Washington would try to seize these materials.
