Iran has denied reports that it is holding negotiations with the United States, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei said in an interview with India Today, APA reports.
“There are no negotiations between Iran and the United States, and this has not been the case during the 25 days since the unlawful war against Iran began,” he noted.
Baghaei added that Iran’s experience of negotiations with the US has been “disastrous.”
“While we were negotiating to resolve the nuclear issue, we were attacked twice within a short period. This was a betrayal of diplomacy. This is now a popular phrase in Iran, because this did not happen once, but twice. No one can trust US diplomacy,” the Iranian official emphasized.
