In 2025, 39 Azerbaijani citizens were deported from Georgia, APA's local bureau reports, citing the report of the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs.
In the first quarter of last year, 4 Azerbaijani citizens were deported from the neighboring country, 16 in the second quarter, 7 in the third quarter, and 12 in the fourth quarter. Compared to 2024, the number of our citizens facing deportation decreased by 32 people or 45%.
In total, 1,311 foreigners were deported from Georgia in the reporting year, which is 3.6 times more than the previous year. The largest number of foreign citizens, 460, were expelled from the neighboring country in October-December.
In accordance with the strict migration legislation that came into force in Georgia on October 1 of last year, the deportation of foreigners is carried out according to a simplified procedure.
