Germany’s ambassador to Georgia, Peter Fischer, has returned to Tbilisi today following consultations in Berlin, APA reports.
The German Foreign Office announced on its X account that the ambassador will continue his work in Georgia with the Ministry’s full support.
Note that Germany had recalled its ambassador to Georgia on October 19 for consultations. The Georgian government accused the diplomat of promoting a radical agenda in the country and seriously undermining relations with Germany. Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze recently stated that the Georgian government will be open to cooperation once Germany appoints a new ambassador.
