Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva visited the exhibition and sales fair of beekeeping products

On November 5, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Union Leyla Aliyeva, and head of the Baku Media Center Arzu Aliyeva visited the 25th Jubilee Traditional Republican Exhibition-Fair of Beekeeping Products, APA reports.

During the visit, Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva viewed the stands, showed interest in the various types of honey and beekeeping products presented by beekeepers, and received information about the production process and quality indicators. They had sincere conversations with the beekeepers about seasonal productivity and sales opportunities and took commemorative photos.

It should be noted that this year more than 280 farmers from 43 regions are participating in the fair. Participants of the “Young Beekeeper” project, implemented on the initiative of the IDEA Public Union to promote ecological entrepreneurship among young people, are actively taking part in the fair. A total of 1,128 kilograms of honey have been presented at the fair by four “Young Beekeeper” families.

The “Gullu Yaylaq” beekeeping cooperative operating in the Khojaly district was represented at the fair for the first time. The cooperative’s founder, Ghanira Asadova, from the village of Ballica in the Khojaly district, has been engaged in beekeeping for many years. The cooperative’s goal is to increase women’s employment in agriculture, preserve local beekeeping traditions, and promote the production of environmentally friendly products. Currently, the “Gullu Yaylaq” cooperative consists of five members and has presented 400 kilograms of products, including six types of beekeeping items, at the fair.

In addition, participants of the “Kalbajar Honey Festival 2025,” held in September this year in Kalbajar on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, are also presenting their products at the fair.

It should be especially emphasized that the attention and support shown by President Ilham Aliyev to Kalbajar honey in his speeches reflect the highest recognition of the quality and reputation of honey from this region. Today, Kalbajar honey, distinguished by its natural qualities and excellence, is becoming one of Azerbaijan’s national brands.

Note that more than 100 tons of honey and over 15 types of various beekeeping products are offered for sale at the fair.
