In August of this year, consumer prices increased by 4.9% compared to August of last year, including food products, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products (up 6.6%), non-food products (up 2.1%), and paid services (up 4.9%).
According to Yeniavaz.com, citing official data, the largest price increases among individual food products in August of this year compared to the previous month were for beef and lamb, milk, eggs, sunflower and corn oils, bananas, cherries, apricots, watermelons, white cabbage, greens, cucumbers, green beans, carrots, garlic, and chocolate. Price declines were observed for lemons, apples, pears, berries, grapes, cauliflower, broccoli, tomatoes, bell peppers, eggplant, beets, onions, and potatoes.
In August, compared to the previous month, non-food price increases were recorded for personal hygiene products and jewelry, while prices for summer clothing decreased.
