Earthquake of magnitude 6.3 strikes east of Russia's Kuril Islands

An earthquake of magnitude 6.3 struck in waters off Russia's Kuril Islands on Monday, the German Research Centre for Geosciences (GFZ) said, APA reports citing Reuters.

The quake was at a depth of 10 km (6.2 miles), GFZ said.
