Armenian PM: We live in completely different South Caucasus after August 8

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the nation, emphasizing that peace has been established between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan, and that the role of US President Donald Trump and his administration in this matter is indispensable, APA reports.

Pashinyan noted in his address that after the Washington agreements, after 30 years, all communications of Armenia are being opened.

"We, as citizens of the Third Republic, do not know what it means to live and work in peace. This is a foreign feeling to us. Because since the first day of our independence, we have always lived in an atmosphere of conflict, war or neither peace nor war.

After August 8, we have been living in a completely different South Caucasus, in a different Republic of Armenia. We must realize this fact. This is not easy, because this is a new and unfamiliar reality for us."

Pashinyan stressed that Armenia must learn peace from scratch - what peace is, how it happens and what it looks like:

"Peace will be whatever form we give it. Of course, it will not be alone, but together with Azerbaijan," he said.
