Minister: Cooperation between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye increases region’s strategic importanc

Cooperation between Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye increases the strategic importance of the region, Georgian Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Mariam Kvrivishvili said during her speech at the 2nd Istanbul Natural Resources Summit, APA’s Türkiye bureau reports.

According to her, the cooperation established over the years has demonstrated great resilience, and projects such as the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan pipeline continue to preserve the region’s important role in the global energy system.

Kvrivishvili stated that as global tensions increase, the strategic importance of Georgia, Türkiye and Azerbaijan, as well as their contribution to energy security, continue to grow.

“Today, especially amid rising tensions in our region and around the world, the importance of Georgia, Türkiye and Azerbaijan has become even more evident, and the value these three countries provide to the world, Europe and wider regions has increased further,” she noted.
