Russia launched series of drone strikes on SOCAR’s oil depot in Odesa overnight-VIDEO

On the night of August 18, an oil depot belonging to SOCAR in Ukraine’s Odesa region came under a series of attacks by Shahed-type drones, APA reports.

Following several direct hits, a fire broke out in the area.

As a result, 17 fuel tanks, a pumping station building, operator and technical rooms, as well as weighing facilities were damaged, and the depot’s fence was destroyed. The total capacity of the oil depot exceeds 16,000 cubic meters.

At present, the amount of damage is being assessed, an expert examination has been appointed, and urgent restoration work is underway.

This was the second massive attack on the facility. On August 8, about 10 drones had been launched at the same oil depot, causing partial destruction. A criminal case has been opened regarding the incident.
